WRF offers
English riding lessons Monday through Friday for equestrians of all
ages from a first time rider to an active competitor. Our
riding program focuses on teaching both students and horses a correct, solid foundation in order to safely and happily pursue their goals. There are several show quality, trustworthy school horses available (see Our Horses). Head instructor,
Cara Cargill is certified through the American Riding Instructors
Association (ARIA) in both Eventing and Dressage. Her students
have also successfully competed in the hunter ring. She enjoys
teaching anyone who has a passion for riding, whether it be for
recreation or competition. Her goal is to create knowlegeable riders who care about all aspects of horsemanship. Her program is fun, while remaining focused on correct riding and safety. In preparation
for a lesson, all students must wear the
following: (1) An ASTM/SEI approved safety
helmet with harness. WRF can provide helmets to any students taking
lessons. If you plan to continue with a lesson program, it is
strongly recommended that you purchase your own.
(2) Breeches, beginner riders may wear long
pants. (3) Riding boots or paddock shoes, beginner riders may wear a closed shoe with hard sole and small (about 1/2") heel. Sandals and sneakers are not allowed. Safety is our first priority! All lessons are
scheduled Monday through Friday by appointment only. Lesson
prices are listed on our Rates page. All lessons will start at
scheduled time, late arrivals will result in shortened lesson time
at the full rate. Any lesson cancellations must be handled via
telephone or in person and require 24-hour prior notification, or else lesson fee will be charged. Lessons cancelled due to medical reasons or bad weather will be rescheduled. Please feel free to contact Cara with any questions, 603-968-3639. |
